We have had a drier than normal winter. We have only had 2" of snow so far this year. It has also been colder than normal. We had over 10 days of below 0º F during the month of January. Our average high during January usually averages in the mid-30sº F and the average lows are usually about 10-20º F.
First Day of Spring
We had a BEAUTIFUL first day of spring. The day started kind of cool at 24º F but the temperature reached 62º F by the end of the day!

The weather in North Bend, Nebraska:
March came in like a lion. The temperature was at 19º shortly after midnight and continued to fall throughout the day. We only had a couple of inches of snow but the wind whirled it around for a while to make visibility difficult.

Often people from other parts of the country think that everyone who goes to school in small towns live on farms. Some of us live on farms, but more live in town, on small acreages or along side of lakes. As far as weather... As you can tell, our temperatures can jump up and down a lot during a single day. In Nebraska (as in many places) the saying is "If you don't like our weather, wait a minute or two and it will change."
